Case Overview

Verity was asked by an HR manager to investigate and verify a candidate for a critical job position. The candidate claimed to be an MBA graduate of a renowned China university with a certificate as supporting document.

Our Findings

We contacted the university registry to validate the candidate's academic qualification, which confirmed there was no such graduate and a replicated certificate was presented. Furthermore, an enquiry to the candidate's previous employer revealed the candidate's bad reputation in prior career, and the salary provided did not match the stated amount in the candidate's CV.

The Result

The investigation and evidence provided saved our client a great deal of potential problems. "Hiring the right candidates can keep future troubles to a minimum; integrity is vital and liars are never welcomed," HR manager stated.
